To point you in the right direction Meridian Trustees have developed The Study to Work to Residence Program that ensures you are on the right track to residence.

The Study to Work to Residence program is for people over 18years of age with a good standard of English language and a successful academic background.

Whilst academic outcomes are important, your successful settlement in New Zealand is the primary focus of the program. This pathway will enable you to:

• Learn skills relevant to the New Zealand work environment
• Earn while you study and settle
• Find a job that will launch your career
• Gain your Permanent Residence in New Zealand

Study	Meridian Trustees have approved a selection of study pathways that can be completed within one academic year (usually 36 – 40 weeks) that suit the needs of most prospective migrants and meet the requirements for a residence application. These courses are recognised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and will be awarded points for immigration purposes. You will be entitled to work up to 20 hours per week while you study.
Work	Once you have finished your studies in NZ, and obtained a NZ qualification, you will be eligible for a Work Visa/Permit for six months. Then, when you have found a job, you can apply for a further permit for up to two years to gain work experience relevant to your NZ qualification.
Residence	With the right qualification and the right job offer you will be well on your way to residence. When the time is right, we will prepare and present a fully documented and professional case for your permanent residence in New Zealand.
